Clínica SAMON was founded as a medical project dedicated to providing comprehensive care for cardiovascular, physical, and mental health. We believe in personalized medicine that truly listens to and understands each patient, creating tailored treatment plans to support their physical and emotional recovery after illness or hospitalization.

I am a cardiologist and PhD in Medicine with broad clinical experience, accredited by the Spanish and European Societies of Cardiology in General Cardiology, Heart Failure, and Cardiac Imaging. I trained at Hospital Universitario La Paz in Madrid and have worked in leading hospitals in Spain, Ireland, and Qatar, giving me a wide and multicultural view of cardiovascular care.

Psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and Master in Public Health. Currently leads the Adult Mental Health and ADHD team at HealthHero in Ireland.
Trained at Hospital Universitario La Paz in Madrid, Dr. Sacristán has over 10 years of clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatry in Spain, Qatar, and Ireland. He has also served as consultant and medical director in various institutions, contributing to the development of programs and public health interventions, and hospital management. He has experience in corporate mental health as well.
NURSING TEAM
Registered nurse with over 20 years of experience in primary care, cardiovascular health, and psychiatry.
Known for his warm, empathetic approach, he focuses on personalised care that respects each patient’s rhythm and needs. He brings extensive experience in nutrition, cardiovascular prevention, and mental health, with a human, integrative perspective.

Nurse with training and experience in hospital cardiology at Hospital La Paz in Madrid.
She offers specialised, high-quality cardiovascular care, based on years of experience in leading medical teams. Committed to prevention, follow-up, and patient education, she provides expert care focused on improving the lives of people with heart disease.

Trained at Hospital Gregorio Marañón in Madrid and holds a Master's in Pain Medicine from Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes.
Currently collaborates with various public and private centres across Spain, providing diagnosis and comprehensive management of chronic pain. Specialist in spinal stenosis, radiculopathies, myofascial pain, neuralgias, severe joint disorders, complex neuropathic pain, and oncologic or postsurgical pain. His approach is clinically precise and focused on lasting relief.

PAEDIATRICIAN

Director of SAMON Paediatrics, Dr. del Río has over 10 years of experience in paediatric critical care. He is a paediatric intensivist at the PICU of Hospital Universitario La Paz, one of Spain’s reference centres.
With a solid clinical background and advanced skills, he provides paediatric consultations, prevention programmes, and CPR training. He is an experienced instructor accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA), training both healthcare professionals and families in CPR techniques with a practical, rigorous, and human approach.
NEUROLOGIST

SAMON Neurology is led by Dr. Raúl Barahona, a clinical neurologist with over 10 years of experience. Initially focused on general neurology and complex headache management, he later specialised in neuromuscular diseases and advanced neurophysiological diagnostics.
He has worked in the Neuromuscular-ALS Unit at Hospital Gregorio Marañón and currently heads the Neuromuscular Unit and Electromyography Lab at Ruber Juan Bravo Hospital in Madrid. His approach combines deep technical expertise with close, patient-centred clinical care.

Sport psychologist with over 20 years of international experience in human performance.
Currently Head of Sport Psychology at Aspire Academy (Qatar), and has worked with Olympic athletes, Formula 1 drivers, elite pianists, and the Qatar National Football Team during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Performance coach with over 15 years of international experience in elite sports.
Currently a strength and conditioning coach and Head of Squash Performance at Aspire Academy (Qatar). His career spans Kuwait, China, and Hong Kong, with achievements including 2 Olympic medals, 6 World Championship medals, and 10 Asian Games medals.
He also teaches at institutions like NSCA Spain, the University of León, and the European University of Madrid, and has broad experience mentoring professionals and providing online sports consulting. As a long-distance athlete, he has competed for over 20 years in events up to the half marathon, including more than 30 appearances at Spanish national championships. His approach blends hands-on experience, continuous learning, and a passion for performance development.
