Specialist in Anesthesiology. Trained at Hospital Gregorio Marañón in Madrid. Master in Pain Medicine from Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes. Currently provides diagnostic and chronic pain management services in several public and private hospitals across Spain. Expert in spinal stenosis, radiculopathies (nerve entrapments, myofascial syndromes, low back pain, dorsal and cervical pain), neuropathic pain (complex regional pain syndrome, post-laminectomy syndrome, peripheral nerve pain), severe joint disease, meralgia paresthetica, occipital neuralgia, post-herpetic neuralgia, painful shoulder, painful total hip replacement syndrome, painful total knee replacement syndrome, and cancer-related pain.

SAMON Neurology is led by Dr. Raúl Barahona, a clinical neurologist with over 10 years of experience. Initially focused on general neurology and complex headache treatment, he has progressively specialised in neuromuscular diseases and neurophysiological diagnostic techniques. He has worked in the Neuromuscular-ALS Unit of the Neurology Department at Hospital Gregorio Marañón in Madrid. Currently, he leads the Neuromuscular Unit and Electromyography Lab at Ruber Juan Bravo Hospital in Madrid.
